PLD Space is an international space services company with in-house engineering and manufacturing. It is dedicated to transporting satellites and humans into space, vertically integrating engineering, testing, manufacturing and operations of its reusable and sustainable rockets. Headquartered in Elche (Spain) and founded in 2011 by Raúl Torres and Raúl Verdú, PLD Space has established itself as a global benchmark in the space launcher sector. Mission

As a Welding Engineer, your main mission within the area will be within the Manufacturing engineering department to guarantee the quality of welding processes ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and implementation of technical documentation (WPS, WPQR...).
• Guarantee and improve the quality of welding processes by ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
• Ability to manage and interpret non-destructive and destructive tests following the applicable regulations in each case. 
• Manage and evaluate welding work subject to high quality standards (aeronautical or aerospace).
• Coordinate and plan the welding work.  

Necessary Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering or similar with high knowledge in welding processes. 
• Essential computer skills spanning the MS Office suite of applications, i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Knowledge of quality control processes, material traceability, and manufacturing documentation.
• High level of spanish 

Desired Requirements

• It is valuable to have the title of European Adhesives Engineer (EAE) or European Adhesives Specialist (EAS)
• Materials and metallurgy knowledge
• Experience making NDI
• Experience with thermal treatment like PWHT, annealing, distended.
