PLD Space is an international space services company with in-house engineering and manufacturing. It is dedicated to transporting satellites and humans into space, vertically integrating engineering, testing, manufacturing and operations of its reusable and sustainable rockets. Headquartered in Elche (Spain) and founded in 2011 by Raúl Torres and Raúl Verdú, PLD Space has established itself as a global benchmark in the space launcher sector. Its MIURA family of launchers and its LINCE manned capsule position the company as a leader in European technological sovereignty in space transportation, covering the full range of space missions.
With a team of more than 350 employees and 220 million in total funding, PLD Space also has the largest private test benches in Europe, located in Teruel (Spain), and operates a launch base in the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), in Kourou (French Guiana). Mission
Provide management system training and guidance to PLD Space management, departments, and internal customers to build, improve, and implement policies/procedures and systems that meet our business objectives and assure compliance to customer requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and maintain internal audit schedules in accordance with ISO Quality Management System standards and PLD Space policies.
- Assess PLD Space business processes, systems, and products through the internal audit program to assure compliance to customer requirements, PLD Space procedures, and policies and ISO standards.
- Utilize corrective and preventive action process to correct compliance nonconformances and drive improvement of the management system.
- Measure and monitor management system data and reports to management on quality system compliance status and improvement initiatives.
- Initiate change request of management system procedures, policies, and internal audit checklist and leads implementation efforts.
- Communicate with government customers on management system data/status and provides management system insight through internal and 3rd party audit observations.
- Plan, schedule, and perform quality system audits.
- Ensure and analyze audit and QMS data to lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Necessary Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in quality engineer or similar.
- +5 years of experience implementing management systems and auditing to ISO standards.
- Knowledge of ISO family of standards.
Desired Requirements
- Experience in aerospace industry.
- Certified auditor.
