Mission
As part of a highly regulated aerospace industrial environment with multiple plants, the Logistics Technician is responsible for executing and coordinating logistics operations, both internal and external, reporting directly to the Logistics Manager.
The role combines strong operational execution with technical knowledge and autonomy to interact and negotiate with logistics service providers, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance and on-time deliveries.
This position plays a key role in ensuring material flow continuity, traceability and regulatory compliance throughout the supply chain.
Responsibilities
Logistics Operations
- Execute and coordinate daily inbound and outbound logistics activities in line with planning and priorities defined by the Logistics Manager.
- Organize and manage shipments between suppliers, plants, warehouses and production areas.
- Maintain delivery and pick-up schedules updated and actively monitor shipment status.
Intra-company Logistics
- Coordinate internal material flows between plants and departments.
- Execute and monitor inter-plant transfers and internal logistics movements.
- Support inventory availability and accuracy through proper logistics execution.
External Logistics & Provider Management
- Act as operational and technical interface with forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and other logistics service providers.
- Negotiate day-to-day logistics conditions (rates, lead times, transport solutions) within defined frameworks.
- Coordinate customs clearance processes and ensure correct execution with customs agents and authorities.
- Propose logistics solutions and alternatives in case of disruptions or constraints.
Compliance & Documentation
- Prepare, manage and verify logistics and transport documentation (CMR, AWB, B/L, packing lists, customs documentation).
- Ensure compliance with international transport regulations, customs requirements and export control procedures.
- Maintain full traceability of materials and shipments in accordance with aerospace standards.
Systems & Data Management
- Register and update logistics data in ERP and logistics systems (shipments, carriers, costs, delivery dates, incidents).
- Track logistics performance indicators (delivery reliability, costs, incidents).
- Report deviations, risks and improvement opportunities to the Logistics Manager.
Problem Solving & Coordination
- Identify and resolve logistics incidents proactively, escalating critical risks when required.
- Maintain continuous communication with internal stakeholders (purchasing, production, quality, warehouse).
- Support the Logistics Manager in continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics processes, costs and lead times.
Additional Support
- Provide operational backup to Supply Chain and Purchasing activities when needed.
- Participate in audits, customer or authority inspections, and internal reviews related to logistics and supply chain.
Required Competences
Education & Experience
- Minimum: Medium-level university degree (Diplomatura or equivalent).
- Desirable: Bachelor’s Degree (Grado) in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or similar.
- Highly valued: Specialized courses or certifications in logistics, transport, customs or international trade.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in logistics, transport or supply chain roles.
- Experience in industrial and/or regulated environments; aerospace experience is a strong plus.
Technical Skills
- Solid knowledge of logistics operations, international transport and customs processes.
- Proven ability to negotiate operational conditions with logistics providers.
- Familiarity with export control and regulated supply chains.
- Experience working with ERP systems and logistics tools.
- Strong proficiency in office automation tools.
